The Bernoulli equation developed by Daniel Bernoulli is an energy balance equation ("energy cannot be lost") in fluid mechanics, and its history can be traced back to the 18th century. To this day, it still represents the basis of important air and fluid dynamics calculations (see also fluid mechanics).
