Biogas plant
Biogas plants produce biogas from biomass (for example, semi-liquid fertilizer, plant silage). In the absence of oxygen, the organic matter is fermented at a constant temperature. The biogas produced can be used as motor fuel, and the fermentation residue can be used as fertilizer.
In many cases, the generated biogas is used on-site in a combined heat and power unit to generate electricity and heat.
